How Covid-19 affects your travel with Sapori & Saperi Adventures
Vaccination
We require a certificate of full vaccination from anyone booking a tour or course. We're sorry if you are unable to have the vaccine, but we cannot jeopardise the safety of the people you visit when you're with us.
Travel insurance
Also required is travel insurance to cover such things as medical treatment, repatriation, loss of property, cancellation charges and cancellation of flights. It must specifically cover you for Covid-19 related events: for example, if you or a close relative tests positive for Covid-19 and you are unable to travel (whether because you are showing symptoms or must quarantine and cannot make your flight or you need to stay near a close relative with Covid) or if you contract Covid while you are in Italy and require medical care. We require you to tell us the name of your insurer and the policy number at the same time as the balance of your fee is due.
Italian government travel regulations
You will also have to comply with Italian regulations pertaining to Covid which are in force at the time of your visit. They may require a Covid test before flying to Italy and wearing a mask indoors, which means in the workshops of the producers I take you to, shops and indoors in restaurants except when you're eating.
Booking conditions, force majeure & refund of fees
Our Booking Conditions state:
'We would postpone or cancel an Adventure or Course in the event of war, riot, civil unrest, industrial dispute, natural disaster and similar circumstances outside our control. If the UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office advises against travel, we would either cancel or adjust the itinerary to avoid risky areas.'
'Force Majeure' means unforeseeable circumstances that prevent someone from fulfilling a contract. The existence of Covid-19 is now a foreseeable circumstance. The unforeseeable circumstances related to Covid-19 that may occur between you paying your deposit and the departure date of the course or tour are:
In all other cases the cancellation fees published in our Booking Conditions apply. We will not refund your fee if you change your mind about the riskiness of travelling when Covid-19 is in circulation.
If your flights are cancelled or postponed at the last minute, we will help you find suitable public transport to the course or tour whenever you arrive or, if you prefer, we will book our driver to pick you up, both at your own expense.
Please contact us if you have any doubts or questions.
